Registered Nurse - RN - Infusion Center - Per Diem


The Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients with Hematological and Oncological diseases, as well as supportive care to many other diagnoses through infusion therapy. Completes Admission Nursing Assessments on new and returning patients. Triages side effects of therapies, and completes routine skin and toxicity assessments, reporting all findings to the appropriate providers. Provides patients and families with education related to disease, treatment, potential adverse effects, and symptom management for Infusion therapies. Administers chemotherapy/biotherapy, as prescribed by a provider, determines that the patient meets criteria, and verifies orders prior to administration. Provides non-oncologic infusion-related treatments to patients within the community. Documents patient interactions, assessments, advice, and responses to care in the EMR and discusses the plan with the provider.


This is a per diem day shift position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located at 1978 Crompond Road, Cortandt Manor, upper Westchester, NY.


Required Criteria


  • Infusion experience OR Outpatient Oncology experience OR Medical Oncology experience


  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing

  • Current NYS RN Nursing licensure

  • Chemotherapy/biotherapy administration certification and maintenance

  • Proficient IV/Central line access skills

  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent communication skills

$53.56/Hourlyn
